Arrgh mateys! Welcome to the flag. You are here because we thought ye'd be fun mates to sail with, and we feel ye have the same ideals as us. Check out our Pirate Hall in the Taj Majal on Tigerleaf Mountain.
---
We do have a few items to remember that comes with being a part of this flag.
-
1. Keep it fun! We're all about bein' fun. It's not right to have a long hard day in RL and come to play YPP for an escape and ye log on only to find people at each others throats, talking about other mates, or otherwise causing problems. We're not here for that.
-
2. Check yer egos at the dock - We're not here to get involved in any wars. See #1.
-
3. As an addendum to Item 2 and the comment on promotions in our public statement, all officers are held accountable for their statements and actions. Treat jobbers the way you would want to be treated when jobbing. If you make a statement or promise - follow through, even if it costs you out of pocket. Never misrepresent your crew or your flag. As a flag, we do not allow unacceptable behaviors in our membership, but most particularly in our officer corps.
-
4. Be a member of our forums. Each crew joining the flag will have access to their own section on the forums that only they (and the administrator(s) ) will have access to for the security of the crew's thoughts. More info on that will be in the forums. Joining crews are not required to have their crew pages in our forums, but do have to be members so at least they can get the necessary flag info, and info on the game and such (and other fun goodies!)
-
5. Royalty are chosen without regard to crew affiliation. Royals do not represent their crews in royalty meetings, but rather represent the flag as a whole to the rest of the ocean. We do not allow captains or first mates to serve as royals. Captains/first mates have a responsibility to run their crew, build membership, promote subscribing, and generally should be too busy to worry about the added responsibilities of royalty. However, every crew, regardless of size, is entitled to one Titled member who acts as the crew's voice in flag meetings. By default this will most likely be the captain or first mate, but can be anyone the captain nominates. Royal members act as the flag's voice to the rest of the ocean, and are expected to be active in both flag and game forums, interactive at the diplomatic level with other flags' royalty, and have sufficient maturity level and game experience to excel at the "political puzzle".
-
6. We own and must be able to defend two islands at present. To be victorious in blockades requires a tremendous amount of money and resources. Our long term goals require everyone in the flag to pitch in to build our fleet and our coffers.
-
7. As a rule, we do not return war declarations for any reason other than blockading. We have many flagmates that run commodities, and setting them up for sinking PvP is not a flag goal.
-
8. Finally, in order to promote success among flag members and to help keep poe "in the family", we ask that subscribed members labor in flag-member owned stalls as much as possible. A complete list is in the flag forums, and the shipyard No Sail on Ansel can always use more labor, as can Ivorybill's weaving stall on Garden Cradle (the source of most of No Sail's sailcloth.) In addition, non-subscribed members are asked to labor on the "free puzzle days" at flag-member owned stalls. One board or 18 boards - every little bit helps.
